Frequently Asked Questions

How do you select your caregivers?

We prefer to hire caregivers who are direct referrals from those who have been on our team long-term. We conduct all interviews in office and require exhaustive professional and personal references from our candidates. We run state and federal background checks through a leading national security firm and only hire caregivers who are 100% eligible for work in the United States. More importantly, we take our reputation seriously and guard it with great sincerity.

Is there any commitment on the client’s part?

No. Clients may terminate services at any time, for any reason, without notice. No questions asked.

Are there any service minimums?

While there are no hard and fast service minimums, it is important to recognize the role that caregivers play in our lives. Longer shifts offer a greater opportunity for caregiver continuity which can be critical in maintaining peace of mind all around. We're always happy to hear your needs and will work hard to meet them.

Do you take on temporary/respite care cases?

No. We only work with clients who need regularly scheduled care. Within the schedule, we are extremely flexible.

If a caregiver calls out, what happens?

We cover all call outs. Our office team is built around care fundamentals. We strive to build care depth and familiarity within our staff so that your loved-one is in strong hands no matter what.

Can my caregiver drive me to appointments?

Yes they can. If you require a caregiver with a license and/or car, please let us know. If the caregiver drives their own care, Steadfast invoices for a small mileage fee.

Do you accept Medicaid/Medicare?

No. We are a private pay agency.

Do you work with insurance?

Yes. We work with private long term care policies. These policies are typically separate from normal health insurance policies and specify their care benefits. With your permission, Steadfast can apply for approval and, in many cases, send bills directly to the insurance company.
